This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our food scanning mobile application. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

Information We Collect

Camera Access Nutron requires access to your device's camera solely to scan product barcodes. Images captured by the camera are processed locally on your device and are not stored, transmitted, or shared.

Product Data When you scan a barcode, we query the Open Food Facts database to retrieve nutritional information. The barcode number is sent to this third-party service to fetch product details. No personal information is attached to these requests.

Subscription Information We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect:

• Anonymous app user IDs
• Purchase history and subscription status
• Device identifiers for transaction verification

This data is processed in accordance with https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Local Storage We store your preferences (such as onboarding completion status) locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device.

Health Data (including Apple Health / HealthKit) Nutron does not access, collect, store, transmit, or share any user Health Data.

This means:

• We do not integrate with Apple Health / HealthKit.
• We do not request permissions to read or write Health app data.
• We do not ask you to enter personal health information (e.g., conditions, medications, lab results), and we do not store any health-related inputs.
• We do not create a health profile about you.

Any ingredient ratings or health scores shown in the app are general-purpose informational opinions derived from publicly available product/ingredient information (e.g., label ingredients and public references) and are not personalized using any user health information.
